APNIC invites you to attend APNIC 27 in Manila, Philippines from 23 to 27
February 2009.
APNIC meetings give your company a chance to build valuable skills and
make contacts with others in your field. The skills learnt at APNIC

APNIC 27, in conjunction with APRICOT 2009, has an excellent lineup of
workshops and tutorials taught by industry experts from across the Asia
Pacific.
The APNIC team will be hosting two tutorials during APNIC 27:
Understanding Botnets, Network Attacks, and Forensics

Participants learn:
- The practices used in modern network attacks and their impact
- The detailed operation of botnets and their use in malicious
network activity
- Techniques of network forensics and how to identify and respond to
attacks
Introduction to the Internet Routing Registry (IRR)

Participants learn:
- How to keep track of routing policies between providers and
customers
- What route objects are and how to define routing policy using RPSL
(Routing Policy Specification Language)
- How to use RT Config to generate router configurations
